PARTY OFF
Been too busy to blog lately. Not that I've been partying - there's no decent parties to go to anyway. Missed the Glasgow Film Office bash, reported to me as a non-event. Scottish Screen scrapped their Christmas do a couple of years ago - clearly not much to celebrate in West George Street these days now that Santa's turned into the Grim Reaper - hey, there's an idea for a movie.
All that's left to look forward to is Edinburgh's annual Hogmanay shindig - 100,000 frozen snotters hanging around in Princes Street waiting for something to happen, like so many hungry producers waiting on their calls being returned.
I could always go to the pictures, but even I can't face the prospect of over three hours watching a CGI ape go ape - and I don't care if it's Peter Jackson, it's a chunk of my life he's asking for. Telly's rubbish too. Hard to believe Channel 5 is British broadcasting's only champion of feature films on the box.
And the government wonders why we're all binge drinkers now? Cheers.
